Traineeship at Nuoli – a meeting and support point for young people

Nuoli is for homeless, substance-using young people aged 16-29 and is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Working at Nuoli is sometimes challenging but rewarding.

Outreach on young people’s terms

At Nuoli, young people are treated with respect as individuals. Support is provided on the young person’s terms and their needs are listened to. At Nuoli, young people can eat, wash, rest and get help with issues, such as applying for housing, making a living and seeking substance-abuse services. Nuoli’s services can be used anonymously, and active substance abuse is not a barrier to accessing services.

What we look for in trainees:

  • You are studying to become a practical nurse, social worker or community educator.
  • You already have life experience and are in the final stages of your studies.
  • You have previous experience with addiction and mental health work, or you are studying for a degree in addiction and mental health.

  • You are development-focused and can tolerate incompleteness and constant change.
  • You are an open-minded and an energetic team player.
  • You are willing to work in three shifts.

A traineeship with us will give you an opportunity to gain a wide range of experience in challenging but rewarding work. Nuoli makes use of multi-professional skills and collaboration with networks across organisational boundaries.
