The European Solidarity Corps is an EU funding programme for young people wishing to engage in solidary activities addressing societal challenges and building a more equal and just society.
The European Solidarity Corps provides young people with opportunities to participate in projects that strengthen European solidarity and cohesion. The programme is open to all young people between the ages of 18 and 30 with European address. The Blue Ribbon Foundation provides the opportunity for 4 participants every year for 12 months. The program brings together youth from all over Europe. This allows the volunteers to discover Finnish culture, and share their own, creating a rich intercultural exchange. It is also a great chance to explore the country and experience everyday life in Finland.
When volunteering with the Blue Ribbon Foundation, you will be working with people experiencing homelessness for various reasons or those at risk of becoming homeless, as well as people with substance addictions and mental health challenges and are often also excluded from society.
The project will provide an opportunity to gain experience in the following areas:
Administrative/Office tasks
Social Media Managment
Fundraising
Operating a clothes donation center
Organizing regular events for the clients
Interacting with clients at day-centers and housing units
Through this project you can gain:
International experience
7 euros/day salary
220 euros/month support for food
